I'm glad that among the many people who have pretty."brutal" (for lack of a better word) arguments, you were able to display something straightforward. But yet again, while I can understand why this would bother people, I can't really put myself in their shoes. However, I don't think that with the particular artstyle (those eyes follow me in my nightmares, not even kidding) of the game, you would be able to depict yourself in any way. In addition to that, people have been mentioning how they couldn't depict themselves correctly. If they had included another applicable feature to the male avatar (like in Saints Row), I wouldn't see any problem with it. When I first saw gameplay of the Japanese version, I was surprised to see the existence of such slider. Also, that may be the cause of different cultures, but personally, I always pictured breast as a sexual attribute. I understand the logic behind your point, but yet again, it isn't the first time that Nintendo censored anything. Will this change ultimately will alter the experience you would get of the game, despite all it has to offer? Now, I'm not trying to defend this change, but please, answer me this: I agree that the breast slider wouldn't have any impact on the game, but yet again the lack of it wouldn't either. I personally am an enormous fan of the original Xenoblade and I intend to buy this new iteration as soon as possible. In addition to that, does that change really affect the way you see the game? Heck, I've read in the Youtube comments that some people either cancelled or refused to buy the game, because they, and I quote : "Refuse to promote censorship". Remember we're dealing with a company known for being family friendly (with a few exceptions). Yes, you might use the argument "If it's so minor, why remove it?". This change is such a minor thing that doesn't affect the gameplay in any way whatsoever. I'm honestly surprised about the reactions here and in the Youtube comments. Mon 16th Nov Yeah, I watched some twitch streams and saw the avatar creation and the first thing that came to my girlfriend's and my mind was "Oh god, it is going to take an hour to start the game." We both love creating characters and will spend hours at times doing so.Otherwise, it could be argued that large breasts, or small breasts could be discrimination when accusing it as sexualized to the point of removing the feature. Increasing or decreasing a breast size is only sexualized if you make it sexualized. It makes me sad to see people defend this kind of actions with such weak arguments and assumptions. The other censoring of the underage girl was an iffy one because of how it was handled but censoring something that is supposed to represent the person playing is just plain pathetic. The game isn't even designed for children and yet they censor it anyway on something that isn't necessarily an underaged girl or anything. What makes this whole thing pathetic in the end is how Nintendo takes something that a person would use to represent themselves (or the character they want) and remove features just because they want to protect the small child. Stuff is going to be sexualized regardless what you do. Seriously, there is even Splatoon porn out there. I am 27 years old, is a 27 year old not allowed to have a big rack? A small rack?
